DiCE Hosts ENTERO Policy Event at the European Parliament

On April 24th, Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE), a partner of the AIDA consortium, organised the ENTERO Policy Event at the European Parliament. The event brought together policymakers, clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates to highlight a growing concern in Europe: the rise of early-onset digestive cancers, including colorectal and gastric cancer.

These cancers are increasingly affecting people under the age of 50 and often present with more aggressive behaviour. The ENTERO event provided a platform to discuss real-world patient cases, identify gaps in prevention and early detection, and explore opportunities for EU-wide action.

For AIDA, DiCE’s leadership in raising policy awareness is essential. By amplifying the patient voice and promoting prevention-focused strategies, DiCE helps ensure that AIDA’s research on AI-driven risk assessment and early detection aligns with the real needs of European citizens.
